My name is David. I am going to be one of the contributors to this blog.
A little about myself. My travelling experience is limited to Mexico on spring breaks in college. And even then I didn't spend the night there. I went down there to drink the cheap booze. I once went for a week and all I took were 2 shirts and an extra pair of underwear, which I ended up not using. I have to buy tons of stuff for this trip I think. First step is luggage. How many shirts do I need to pack for 2 weeks? Can I wear the same ones twice? Should I bring clothes to work out or should I take a hiatus.
I am thinking about bringing swimming trunks but I am worried about what will be in the water in the places I go. I know there wont be any octopus but it still freaks me out. What I am really worried about is some little worm swimming up into my urethra. I know that it is very unlikely but still it freaks me out.

1. If you were an animal, what would you be and why? I took Amanda's test and it said I was a horse. I don't know about that. I would like to think that I would be an elephant because an elephant never forgets and I have a terrible memory.

2. If you were a cartoon, which one would you prefer being? Wolverine always seemed pretty cool.

3. What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten? I ate tripe. I have eaten tacos from a street vender in Mexico. Not sure if that was beef.

4.What’s the worst thing you did as a kid? I once took some of my friends out and did some mutton busting. It is the one time I can remember my dad actually yelling at me.

5. What do you do to have fun? I enjoy fishing, hunting, going to dive bars with friends, and going to sporting events. I also enjoy meeting new people and lying to them about what I do for a living. I once told someone I was the Noodling Champion of East Texas.

6. Have you been told you look like someone famous? I have been told that I look like George Clooney. I don't see it.

7.Which country are you visiting? I am going to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. I know right? Who doesn't want to go backpacking through both of these great countries! I am really excited to be living off of granola bars and sterilizing everything I drink. I think I can still drink beer though. I will try and let you know how I feel afterwards. If you know of any places or buildings I should check out please let me know.

8. What's the dumbest thing you've ever bought? A giant cardboard cut out of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It wasn't for me. It was a present. It didn't go over well. I should have know better.

9. Strangest place you've ever showered, bathed or woken up? When I was little, my sisters and I were playing in the mud outside our house. My mom would not let us come in the house because we were so dirty. She brought out a bar of soap and made us shower with the rain water that ran off the roof of the house.

The strangest place I have ever woken up is jail.

10. Favorite song right now? As of right now it would be One Night in Bangkok. I heard it on the radio the other day and can't get it out of my head.

11. Favorite color? I like the color blue, but I own a lot of green things. It's like I subconsciously buy green things.

12. Favorite drink? Non-alcoholic: I normally order ice tea. Alcoholic: If I am going out for a fun night of drinking then I really like to take Irish Car Bombs.

13. # of broken bones? I think I once broke a bone in my foot. I never went to have it X-rayed but it hurt for over month.

14. Biggest fashion faux pas, in your opinion? I hate the Affliction clothing line.

15. Biggest fear? That I will be swimming and an octopus will grab me and drown me.
