Wild World (cover)

Layover in Vienna...

It is now 3am in DC.  I slept for maybe an hour on the plane.  Watched three movies.  Ate an entire bag of twizzlers.  Read two chapters in my book about lies.  And have now had two cups of tea.

The frequent fliers got us into another lounge.  It kinda looks like the "reading corner" of a kindergarten classroom.  Big purple irises painted on the walls...  I can't complain though.  They are very happy flowers :)  Al - you would like them... Very detailed.  They make me feel like I'm in "Honey, I shrunk the kids."  Upon arriving in this exclusive lounge, we discovered a full bar...  Bloody marys, beers, mimosas followed.  Collectively.  Not just for me.

The group conversation has gone from the Somali pirates, to Twittering, to "When I was your age...," to kids, to guns...  Yep.  DM fell asleep in one of the lounge chairs and is snoring.

Our flight to Podgorica leaves in about three hours.  Then a bus ride.  I'm updating my iPod for the rest of the trip...

  1. This has nothing to do with Somali pirates or anything else in your post. But...I told my dad your story about ghosts and Allan Cameron, and he laughed, and then out of the blue he said, "Does he still wear his cowboy boots?"
Apparently when he was dean, he used to wear a full suit and cowboy boots. I've had that image in my head for 12 hours...now it's your turn.

No sleeping passenger pictures?! I am imagining you on the bus in Podgorica right now leading a rousing rendition of "99 Bottles of Beer."
